Andrew first met Charles and Joseph in 2004 at the MPI Professional Education Conference in Edinburgh and they immediately clicked. Over the next few years, they stayed in touch and continued to run into each other at various industry events.
Flash forward to 2011, when they decided that it was finally time to work together! Andrew now represents SYNAXIS in the UK and EMEA region through his London-based company, E3 Strategy Limited.
An honours graduate of the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Toronto’s Ryerson University, Andrew has provided sales and marketing, project management and on-site logistics support to corporate, association and third-party/agency planners, working on conference, gala event and incentive travel programs ranging in size from 100 to 2,500 attendees in both Canada and the United States.
A growing interest in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within the industry led to Andrew’s decision to specialize in Sustainable Meeting and Event Management. He enrolled in Toronto’s York University to pursue the Master in Environmental Studies (MES) and is expected to graduate in June 2012.
In 2010, he launched E3 Strategy with the belief that organizations and the people within them have an amazing opportunity to create business events that increase opportunities for learning, motivation, networking, productivity and social legacy, while at the same time decreasing waste, emissions, energy/water consumption, and cost. A dual Canadian-British citizen, Andrew relocated from Toronto to London the same year and now works with clients on both sides of the pond.
In a volunteer capacity, Andrew currently serves on the GMIC International Board of Directors and the MPI CSR Advisory Council. He was also Vice Chair of the Canadian National Committee for the ISO 20121 standard development process. A passionate and engaging speaker on the topic of CSR, green meetings and sustainability, Andrew has presented to a variety of audiences including corporations, associations and student groups.
